As part of the GESI/CVEC project’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities, monitoring visits to five partner schools began in 1st March 2026 and will continue until 10 June 2026 before schools commence examinations.
Project core members Dr. Kinley Seden, Mr. Karma Gayphel, Kinley, and researcher Sonam Wangmo are actively involved in the monitoring process. Team members visited different partner schools to observe and assess the functioning and implementation of LIKE Club activities.
The monitoring focused on understanding students’ participation, awareness, inclusion practices, and the overall impact of LIKE Club activities within schools. Various data collection tools, including MEL templates, classroom and activity observations, interviews, and student surveys, were used during the visits.
Findings from the monitoring visits indicate that LIKE Club activities are being implemented effectively, with students actively participating and engaging in various club initiatives. Some observable outcomes include the development of healing gardens, creation of Facebook pages to promote club activities, and the integration of LIKE Club activities into other school clubs and programmes.
The initiative aims to strengthen the implementation of LIKE Club activities and support evidence-based improvements for promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in schools.
