Through the GESI Diagnosis tool building on Children’s Valued Capabilities, the students and teachers will experience a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment.

The project, titled “Promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in Schools Building on What Children Value and Aspire To Do and Be,” is a collaborative project between Samtse College of Education (Bhutan), Kathmandu University School of Arts (Nepal), and RDRS (Bangladesh) funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The project spans three years.

On 11 July 2025, a Knowledge Sharing Event was held at the Curriculum Office of the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) to discuss the integration of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) capability indicators into the national curriculum. The event was attended by 12 curriculum officers.

A Knowledge Sharing Event was held on 11 July 2025 in Thimphu at the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD), where Samtse College of Education (SCE) presented recent progress on the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Project. The session was attended by Hon’ble Lyonpo Yeezang D. Thapa, Minister for the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, and Dasho Tshewang C. Dorji, Secretary of the Ministry.
